The short No. 7 starts back in the pines, and the tee shot must get through the trees and over the ravine to a basket just on the far side. There are a few ways to launch the tee shot – a (righthanded) backhand hyzer past the two large ponderosas, or a more direct forehand throw between them. “There aren’t too many holes here that are only one shot,” Jon Foley says.

The basket sits down on the edge of the ravine left of its crossing path, guarded by brush.
