This long hole returns to the ponderosa pines, and the player wants a good strong tee shot past the rock outcropping that is the aiming point for the throw. “It’s a big hole,” Jon Foley says. “If you’re a typical right-hand backhand player, there’s a giant hyzer route that’s beautiful … there’s also the straight underneath burner. The trick (on the straight shot) is to clear the outcropping.”

Past the rocks the ground levels and opens up some for the putt.
